The Kamiah Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the businesses in Kamiah and the surrounding area. The Chamber is a volunteer group made up of businesses, individuals, organizations, and agencies whose common goal is to make Kamiah a great place to live, work and play.

The Chamber serves you... In 1936, a group of community-minded merchants began to offer a free barbeque dinner as a way of saying thank you to area residents for their patronage. The Kamiah Chamber has carried on the tradition of BBQ days for more than 60 years, organizing and sponsoring nearly every aspect of the Labor Day weekend event. Today, thousands of residents, former residents, and visitors take part in BBQ Days - and the event continues to grow each year.

In 2006, the Kamiah Chamber sponsored or co-sponsored many other community service projects, including:

  • Play equipment at Riverfront Park
  • Play equipment and trees in DuPont Park at the City Pool
  • Several economic development workshops
  • Career Day for area high schools
  • Dedication of the Emergency Services Building
  • Tommy Robinson Pond clean-up
  • Christmas Lighting Ceremony and Light Parade
  • Obtained a grant for restoration of the city’s murals
  • Additionally, the Chamber building is now open regularly and staffed with friendly volunteers to greet and direct visitors.

The Chamber relies on membership dues, donations, and fundraisers throughout the year in order to provide these services to our community. Please help us continue this work by becoming a member or renewing your membership. As a member, you’ll enjoy these benefits:

  • Referrals by Chamber staff and other members
  • Free listing on the Chamber website, www.KamiahChamber.com
  • Group advertising opportunities locally and regionally
  • Networking with other area businesses
